Lian Li has succeeded once more in making an already stylish yet functional case even better. The black Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic Midi-Tower in the new Razer Edition combines brushed aluminum with tempered glass elements that are now adorned with the famous Razer logo. But that's not all, three LED strips illuminate the front and the underside of the case as well. This lighting can, of course, be coordinated with other products by mean of Razer's Chroma 3. What has remained unchanged however, is the broad dual-chamber design of this ATX format case that not only offers plenty of space for advanced gaming components, but also provides an abundance of cable management options. The case is constructed from the ground up with extensive air- and custom water-cooling in mind.
The Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic Midi-Tower blends 8 mm of steel with a tinted tempered glass side panel. But Lian Li takes things a step further and equips the left chamber of the ATX case with a tempered glass front section which, in this edition, is adorned by the famously stylish Razer logo. The right part of the front consists of brushed aluminum and bears the front panel with a USB 3.1 Type C port, two USB 3.0 ports, and both now obligatory audio ports. The Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic Midi-Tower Razer Edition can support motherboards up to E-ATX form factor in the left chamber, a graphics card up to 420 mm in length and a CPU cooler up to 155 mm tall.
When it comes to installing an AiO- or custom water-cooling, the case offers the option of installing up to three 360 mm radiators simultaneously: one at the top, one in the base, and one next to the motherboard. It is for this reason that the case's motherboard tray has been offset to the right in the area to the front of the case when compared to its predecessor.
If users wish to install three 360 mm radiators simultaneously, you should use slim radiators at the top and base with a slim rad next to the motherboard. In general, the installation of triple radiators is an option, but this does require extra attention when it comes to choosing the required components. The top also offers the option of installing a 280 mm radiator.
The radiator slots can, of course, also be fitted with fans. On the side, behind the front and base of the case, up to three 120 mm fans can be installed, and two 140 mm fans will fit in place of three 120 mm fans should you prefer. For clean cable management, several partly rubberized cable pass-throughs are available that are placed towards the edges of where the motherboard will go. On the reverse of the motherboard tray, Lian Li has integrated its own cable guiding channel. The right-side chamber holds the hardware that produces the least heat and requires little to no cooling.
The Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic Midi-Tower Razer Edition stands slightly raised atop rubberised steel standoffs, thus allowing cool, fresh air to flow freely through the installed dust filters in the case's base. The chimney effect allows the warm air to flow upwards, at which point it then meets another dust filter that comes integrated into the top. Two further dust filters cover both perforated grids in the right side panel. The elegant Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic Midi-Tower Razer Edition is not just undeniably good looking, cable of effortlessly holding a large array of gaming hardware, it is also incredibly well designed for PC enthusiasts that wish to cool their hardware using a custom loop.
A HDD cage is installed for installing two 3,5" HDDs or two 2,5" SSDs. Both slots can be reached from the rear of the case and are concealed behind a perforated bracket. The HDD cage can be removed to make space for another PSU. Alternatively, it can be taken from the middle and moved down below so change the location of the PSU.
Two 2,5" SSDs or a 3,5" drive can be mounted to the rear of the motherboard tray. Additionally, there are two further 2,5" brackets that come screwed to the base of the right side panel. In total, three 3,5"- or six 2,5" drives can be installed.
Note: Those opting for a vertical installation of their graphics card(s) in the Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic Midi-Tower Razer Edition will require the Lian Li O11D-1 upgrade kit (GELI-809) available separately. This is the only kit compatible with the Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic Midi-Tower! It contains a customised slot bracket as well as a premium riser cable.
